Substance Use Testing Program for Drugs and Alcohol

The Johnson Companies have a stringent drug and alcohol program that has been certified by both the Alabama Department of Labor & Workers' Compensation Division and the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Division as a Drug Free Workplace.


The Johnson Companies have a policy that all employees must report to work without any detectable presence of alcohol and/or any detectable drug metabolite, unless used as prescribed by a physician.  This policy is enforced to provide a safe workplace for all employees.

The following are the drug tests required by the Johnson Companies.  A 10-panel drug test is carried out for the following:


  • Pre-employment testing of all applicants that receive an offer of employment
  • Reasonable Suspicion Testing
  • Routine Fitness-For-Duty Testing
  • Post-Accident Testing
  • Post Rehabilitation Testing
  • Random Testing
